My Grandpa Pratt was born on this day in 1910. Inevitably his birthday would fall on Easter from time to time. So, the tradition began to take his photo in front of the tree the family planted just after he was born.
The last one was taken a couple years before his death, and you can see how big the tree has gotten out in the yard! As far as we know that big tree is still standing by his home, across the field from the family homestead, down by the Solomon River, shading the house and quietly marking time.
Happy Birthday, Grandpa.
